a chair is a structure supported legs and has a back. a place to sit could be anywhere from the ground to a wall.
assignment 11
The function of a chair is to be sat on. It usually has a butt area, legs, a back piece, and it could have arms but not always. A sitting area is any place you feel like sitting.
Assignment 11( Carlos )
the difference between a chair and a siting place is that a chair should have a back to lean on it should also have some sort of mobility. Well a siting place can be anything like light pole to curb. what makes them not a chair is that there intended purpose was meant for something else.
Difference between chair and sitting place Alex
To me a chair is something you would sit at a table or desk with and it would have a back to lean on and maybe have arms to rest your arms on. A sitting place could be anything you can sit on and pick your feet up, like a ledge a rock a stump.
Difference between chair and sitting place Hector
Though there might be many differences between a chair and sitting places, there is one main difference. That difference is a chair is specifically made for people to sit on. Sitting places are not made to be sit on, though it doesn't really stop anyone. Sitting places are 99.99% of the time made for something else. Most of the time, those sitting places are usually things like lamp post, rails, and tables. These things are all made to do other things, NOT to be sit on. That's the difference between chairs and sitting places.

Assignment 10 (Matthew)
The difference between a chair and a place to sit is purpose and structure. A chair designed and built for one main thing, for sitting. The chair has arms and a back support for resting. A curb is a place to sit, but it has nothing for your back or arms. A light post has a place to sit and supports for your arms and back, but both the curb and light post's purpose is different. There not there for sitting, their there for there own purpose.
